Saturday, September 4th 2010: A summer get-together.

The event will take place on:
Date: Saturday, September 4th
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Park St-Viateur located in Outremont, Montreal, at 530 Querbes street. Directions – Metro: Outremont metro station (blue line) is near the park.
Bus: du Parc Avenue (bus line 80) and Côte St-Catherine (bus line 129).
Parking is possible in the adjacent streets.

Rain or shine, we will be expecting you under the gazebo on the small island in the middle of the park. In case of a storm, the event will be postponed.

Saturday, October 23 2010 Workshop: Environmental Sensitivity/Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Exercise
by Véronique Riopel physiotherapist

Throughout this practical exercise session, you will learn the kind of exercises beneficial for your condition and the intensity at which they should be done. You will also learn to adopt a good posture during the exercises and to breathe correctly.

Date: Saturday, October 23 from 10 AM to 12 PM.
Venue: Résidence des Écores, first floor - "salle communautaire"

Some parking available on the street.

By metro: orange line to Cartier station then bus 25 direction Saint-François
or 28 direction Saint-Vincent-de-Paul. About 10 minutes by bus from metro to the Résidence. Both busses drop you off right at the entrance.


June 2010 Workshops : Service Providers Strategies to Reduce Environmental Risks to Children’s Health A Train-the-trainer Approach

Organized by the Environmental Health Association of Québec supported by the Québec College of Family Physicians, Breast Cancer Action Montreal, and the Réseau des femmes en environnement and Asthme & Allergies Québec.

Session 1 : June 10 and 11 at the Centre St-Pierre, 1212 rue Panet, Roger Poirier Room, Montréal, 9 AM to 4:30 PM

Session 2 : June 14 and 15 at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université Laval (CHUL),
Room A0330, 2705 Laurier blvd., Quebec City, 9 AM to 4:30 PM

The sessions are facilitated in French only. The printed resources are available in English on request.

Registration Fee: $80 per person.
The registration fee includes the two day session, snacks, lunches and resource materials. A certificate for the hours of professional hours will be given to participants at the end of the workshop.

A few reduced cost registrations will be available to groups that can demonstrate a need.

Registration Deadline:

May 31 for the Montreal session
June 4 for the Quebec City session

November 27, 2009 – The environment and children’s health

The environment and children’s health (workshop in French only)
The conference will be held on Friday, November 26 from 7:00 – 10 p.m., at:
Chalet Pauline-Vanier, St-Sauveur, 33 avenue de l'Église.

Environmental risks which cause damage to children, such as contaminants found inside homes, schools and outdoors, including the food that we eat, the air that we breathe and the products that we use. Ecological strategies and advice to reduce risks.

Speaker: Michel Gaudet, Vice-President and spokesperson, Environmental Health Association of Quebec (EHAQ) which is a non profit charitable organization, whose mission is to promote ecological strategies for everyday living.
